CivicAction: Anti-Black Racism in the Workplace

Fit

Racism is a growing concern in Canada, with 3 in 5 Black Canadians seeing racism as a problem in their workplace. Data shows that despite it being an increasing topic of discussion, many Black Canadians still believe the country has made little progress to address racism in the past year.

Objective

CivicAction sought to develop a virtual campaign focused broadly on the workplace as one of many systemic institutions where racism can be perpetuated through an organization’s culture, outdated HR policies and a lack of resources and support.

What We Did

CivicAction turned to Corex Creative to produce a digital series of short informational videos. The campaign would inform and call on Canadian companies, governments, and individuals to deepen their commitment and accountability to addressing anti-Black racism.
